Erosive dental wear, diagnosis and restorative solutions

Erosive wear is one of the etiological agents that cause extensive loss of tooth structure and affects more than 30% of the population. Traditional prosthetic treatments include protection of tooth structure with crowns that remove a large amount of tooth structure. Today, thanks to more predictable bonding to enamel and dentine, it is possible to restore in an additive manner with minimal reduction of tooth structure and be more conservative. In this lecture, Dr. Eva Berroeta will cover the diagnosis, treatment plan and execution of total oral rehabilitations in erosive patients

In conclusion, there is a growing recognition of the need to strengthen policy initiatives that address oral health inequalities, focus attention on the social determinants of health, and address common risk factors for oral disease and non-communicable diseases such as sugar consumption, tobacco and alcohol use.

Graduated in Dentistry from the University of the Basque Country, is specialist in oral prosthesis and rehabilitation, obtaining a Master´s degree in Oral and Facial Prosthesis at the University Complutense of Madrid. She also completed the 3-year Advanced Education in Prosthodontics Postgraduate Course at the University of Southern California (USC) in the United States. She has been a collaborating professor in the Master’s Degree in Periodontics at the Complutense University of Madrid and in the Master’s Degree in Aesthetics. She also collaborates in the Master of Periodontology and Osseointegration at the University of the Basque Country. Elected member of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry (AARD)

Eva M. Berroeta is exclusively responsible for the specialty of Prosthodontics.
Recently she has become Adjunct Faculty at the University of Southern California.
Eva Berroeta has participated as a speaker in numerous courses and conferences internationally.
