Güncel Diş Beyazlatma Yöntemleri ve Klinik İpuçları

Günümüzde sosyal medyanın da etkisiyle estetiğe verilen önemin artması, diş beyazlatma işlemlerini hastaların en çok ilgi duydukları dental tedavilerden biri haline getirmiştir. Diş beyazlatma işlemlerinde doğru bir teşhis konulabilmesi için dişteki renklenmenin mekanizması ile birlikte renklenme nedenlerinin ve klinik özelliklerinin anlaşılması ve bilinmesi son derece önemlidir. Diş hekimleri, hastaları bu ürünler hakkında doğru bir şekilde bilgilendirmeli, konulan teşhise uygun diş beyazlatma ürünü ve yöntemi ile en ideal beyazlatmayı sağlamalıdır.

Bu sunumun amacı; diş beyazlatma alanındaki yeni gelişmeler ve tavsiyeler ışığında hekimlerin beyazlatma sürecini, avantajlarını, sınırlamalarını ve beyazlatma konsantrasyonlarının diş minesi üzerindeki etkisini anlamalarına yardımcı olmak ve vakaya özgü beyazlatma tedavilerine klinik ipuçları ile rehberlik etmektir.

Özgeçmiş

1986 yılında Ankara’da doğdu. 2009 yılında Selçuk Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi’nden mezun oldu. 2010-2011 yılları arasında muayenehane işletmeciliği yaptı. 2011 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi Restoratif Diş Tedavisi Anabilim Dalı’nda doktora öğrenimine başladı. 2016 yılında “Diş aşınmaları ve etkenlerinin değerlendirilmesi: Vaka-kontrol çalışması” konulu doktora tezini sunarak doktora derecesini aldı. Hacettepe Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi Restoratif Diş Hekimliği Anabilim Dalı'nda 2019 yılında Doktor Öğretim Üyesi, 2014’te Doçent unvanını aldı. Halen aynı bölümde öğretim üyesi olarak çalışmalarına devam etmektedir. Restoratif Diş Hekimliği Derneği, International Association for Dental Research ve Organization for Caries Research üyesidir. Diş aşınmaları, güncel adezivler ve diş hekimliğinde adezyon, restoratif diş hekimliğinde lazer uygulamaları, diş beyazlatmaları ve kompozit restorasyonlar ile ilgili uluslararası ve ulusal alanda bilimsel yayınları mevcuttur.

Current Tooth Whitening Methods and Clinical Tips

Today, due to the impact of social media, there is an increasing emphasis on aesthetics, leading tooth whitening to become one of the most sought-after dental treatments by patients. To ensure accurate diagnosis in tooth whitening procedures, it is crucial to comprehend the mechanism of tooth discoloration, as well as the causes and clinical features of associated with it. Dentists should accurately inform patients about these products and provide the most suitable whitening treatment based on the diagnosis, using the appropriate tooth whitening products and methods.

The purpose of this presentation is to shed light on the latest developments and recommendations in the field of tooth whitening, to help dentists understand the whitening process, its advantages, limitations and the effect of whitening concentrations on tooth enamel, and also to guide case-specific whitening treatments with clinical tips.

She was born in 1986 in Ankara, Turkey. In 2009, she graduated from Selçuk University Faculty of Dentistry. Between 2010-2011, she worked as a practice manager. In 2011, she started her PhD education at Department of Restorative Dentistry, Hacettepe University. In 2016, she presented her doctoral thesis on "Evaluation of tooth wear and associated risk factors: a matched case-control study" and received her PhD degree. She received the title of Assistant Professor in 2019 and Associate Professor in 2022 at Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Restorative Dentistry. She still continues her studies in the same department. She is a member of the Turkish Society of Restorative Dentistry, the International Association for Dental Research and the Organization for Caries Research. She has international and national scientific publications on tooth wear, current adhesives and adhesion in dentistry, laser applications in restorative dentistry, tooth whitening and resin composite restorations.
