Diagnosis and Treatment Options for Coronal and Apical Peri-implant Pathologies
Endosseous dental implant treatments are globally accepted treatment options with high long-term success. Due to several factors, inflammation around an implant may be seen and different treatment options may apply. As well as coronal/marginal peri-implant inflammation, apical peri-implant pathologies may be diagnosed that will need treatment.
Learning objectives
- Diagnosis of coronal and apical peri-implant pathologies
- Diagnosis, prognosis and treatment options
- Conventional versus contemporary periodontal applications for implant pathologies
Horizontal and Vertical Hard Tissue Augmentations in Various Circumstances
Hard tissue augmentations are evidence based surgical applications used in advanced implant surgeries. Lack of horizontal and/or vertical alveolar ridges may cause problems for a proper implant surgical planning. Several biomaterials may be used in these augmentation procedures including various techniques with a successful outcome.
Learning objectives
- Diagnosis and treatment planning of hard tissue alveolar defects and understanding the biology
- Biomaterials options used in horizontal and/or vertical alveolar bone augmentations
- Various surgical clinical case scenarios including different surgical options
