Michael Glick holds the position of Professor and Executive Director at the Center for Integrative Global Oral Health within the School of Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Glick has authored over 350 publications encompassing original research articles, editorials, and book chapters. He has both authored and taken on the responsibility of serving as editor and co-editor for 10 textbooks that cover topics ranging from evidence-informed decision making and statistics to oral medicine and the treatment of medically complex dental patients. In his career, Dr. Glick has served as Dean of the School of Dental Medicine at the University at Buffalo, President of the American Board of Oral Medicine, and Editor-in-Chief of The Journal of the American Dental Association from 2005 to 2020. Additionally, he has provided leadership as chair and co-chair for FDI/World Dental Federation's Vision 2020 and Vision 2030 initiatives.

This presentation aims to illustrate the inherent limitations of solely relying on published data, and will underscore the methods for interpreting, scrutinizing, and effectively incorporating published information.
