- 1992 appointed clinical instructor – Faculty of Dentistry from Tufts University – Boston and progressed to Research Professor in 1999-2000.
- October 2000 Named as Associate professor by the University of Siena.
- 2001, proposed and implemented the PhD program 'Dental Materials and their clinical applications' in University of Siena.
- 2002 named as Full Professor by the University of Siena.
- 2003 elected as Dean of the School of Dental Medicine of the University of Siena.
- 2017 he was elected President of the "Dentistry" degree course (degree course of Dentistry delivered in English). Which was approved

Tooth wear: classification and restorative options

Treatment of worn teeth is a common therapy in the daily dentistry. Along this presentation the main factors to be considered will be presented, starting from the pathogenesis of worn, touching diagnosis steps, clinical procedures and in particular how to increase the vertical dimension of these patients. Cases made through digital and/or traditional workflow will be presented.

Learning objectives

  • To make proper diagnosis and treatment of worn teeth.
  • Learn the clinical procedures to open the vertical dimension and use 3D printed temporaries.
  • How to lute/cement the prosthodontics pieces.

Clinical results of digital workflow made to restore natural abutments

The digital dentistry changed a lot the behavior of practitioners. Also, technology is running very fast and obsolescence is an issue. Many new devices are proposed every year and often no scientific documentation is available. The main scientific evidence is made by Randomized Controlled Trials. Along this presentation the scientific results of RCT will be presented abut digital workflows made with different devices. The main results will we about iOS, 3D Printers, Milling Machines and different digital prosthodontic materials.
