Dental Mysteries Unveiled: Use of CBCT in Detecting Iatrogenic Conditions
The necessity for CBCT arises only when a patient's history and clinical examination justify its use and questions cannot be adequately addressed by lower-dose conventional dental radiography or alternative imaging methods. This presentation aims to demystify the integration of CBCT in detecting iatrogenic conditions, offering a valuable learning experience for dental professionals seeking to improve their diagnostic competencies and patient care. Through a series of engaging case studies and interactive discussions, we will explore how CBCT imaging increases diagnostic accuracy and reveals subtle complications that can arise during dental procedures. The real-life cases will be presented where CBCT played a pivotal role in identifying iatrogenic conditions, shedding light on the challenges encountered in daily dental practice. Join us as we uncover the mysteries of dentistry through the lens of CBCT technology.
Learning objectives
- Explore practical CBCT applications for iatrogenic detection.
- Empowering participants to apply this advanced technique in their daily practice for improved diagnostic accuracy and enhanced patient care.
- Gain insights into CBCT's unique capabilities for a more comprehensive analysis, revealing conditions often overlooked by conventional methods.
Revealing Daily Dental Puzzles: An Interactive Case Session
This presentation aims to empower dental professionals with practical knowledge and skills, providing a better understanding of the role of imaging in unraveling the mysteries of daily dental practice. The common and challenging cases will be examined through an interactive case session, providing participants with an immersive experience.
We will explore the distinctive features, behavior, and differential diagnosis of the presented cases, consider the need for additional imaging modalities, and discuss case management. Additionally, we will delve into the decision-making process for requesting biopsies, addressing situations when it is appropriate or unnecessary.
Learning objectives
- Foster a collaborative learning environment where participants can share their experiences and collectively improve their understanding of imaging techniques in solving common dental problems.
- Explore how imaging techniques unveils the intricacies of routine and challenging cases
- Offers practical solutions and diagnostic approaches applicable to daily practice
