Current Isolation Techniques
Proper isolation is a prerequisite for successful treatment in all areas of dentistry. The rubber dam technique is a method used to isolate the operative field from the surrounding tissues. The rubber dam effectively protects both patients and dentists, helping patients to have a more professional, safe, and comfortable experience. Having a dry and clean working area is one of the most important factors contributing to the success of the treatment. In recent years, many types of rubber dams are available. The selection of rubber dam and clamp should be made according to the type of restoration applied.
