Carl P. Myers, PhD is a Director of Oral Care Product Development at the Colgate-Palmolive Company. He is currently the global lead of sensitivity, anticavity, and kids segments, and previously led the development of therapeutics for both commercial and professional applications. He has since launched products across therapeutics, cosmetic, and professional spaces. Over his career, he has authored numerous patents and publications, with recent focus on the therapeutic efficacies of polymer and inorganic systems. Dr. Myers is an advocate for science and education, serving as a guest lecturer to dental students and as an elected official in his local Board of Education. Through his NGO work, he volunteers at medical and dental clinicals throughout the Middle East and Africa. He received his PhD in chemistry in 2010 from Penn State University for his work developing and characterizing the nature of photoinduced electron transfer complexes. He joined Colgate-Palmolive in 2014.
